Our Beliefs

"Be ye doers of the word, and not merely hearers........"
                                                                      James 1:22  (NRSV)

As reformed Christians, we believe in the sovereignty of God and in the Word, sacraments and prayer as vehicles of divine revelation to us.  We also receive and adopt the Creeds and Confessions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  These tenets of faith show us to be God's children in need of redemption from a broken world.  We believe further that we are elected and drawn by God to an acceptance of reconciliation through the birth, death, and resurrection of our Savior by which we are given a place, through grace, as members of the body of Christ.  Finally, we believe that since we are called to a life of Christian service, we are gifted and empowered lovingly to carry out God's will on earth and to work for the coming of the divine kingdom as a hallmark of our gratitude and in order that God may be glorified.
The breadth and depth of the Word, Christ revealed to us, is without limit.  It is love and ministry.  It is worship and truth.  It is prayer and grace.  It is reconciliation and redemption. It is complete.

"The love that casts out fear
The faith that sustains
and the hope that never perishes
Be with you now and evermore."
