OUR MINISTRY

Education:  Studying God's word is an important part of the PW ministry.  In 2011-2012 we will be utilizing the Horizons Bible Study entitled Confessing the Beatitudes by Margaret Aymer in our Circle meetings.

Fellowship:  Many activities are planned for the 2011-2012 PW year.  These events allow women to meet for fellowship and provide opportunities to become acquainted on a deeper level.    Some of these include:

Service:  Presbyterian Women are known for their acts of service to their church, locally and at the Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly levels.  Our PW supports many local charitable organizations such as Sharing and Caring Place, Circle of Hope, and Habersham Christian Learning Center.  We provide funds to help support a child at Thornwell Children's Home in Clinton, SC, as well as support for Presbyterian Homes and PW world mission projects.  We fund the devotional booklet, "Our Daily Bread", which is made available to our congregation.

Our women are responsible for meals and receptions for families after funerals in our church, and they are always known as the "first responders" during times of illness and family crisis.
